Ron "The Taz Man" Turner had a racing career going back to the early 1970s. In 2002 he went into the season finale chasing the title and was running second with eight laps left when a tangle coming off turn two ended his night. He finished third in points, then placed second in the Fall Classic at Yakima Speedway that October. His promise to fans for 2003: more photos, more shirts, and "Especially, Wins!!"
