Chris "The Greek" Karamesines won the 1959 AHRA Nationals in his fuel dragster "Chizler" and was still racing nitro in Spokane more than forty years later. He was the quickest Top Fuel car in the second qualifying session at the 2002 World Finals (5.397) and on the second day of qualifying in 2003 (5.14 at 277.55 MPH), and runner-up in the 2003 final.
